With some of my relatives in HK right now, I took the opportunity to make the most of the exchange rate and now I've got a few goodies coming back for me in 10 days!

So excited for these two; officially they're my first two proper perfumes because the Tommy Girl my mom gave me doesn't really count does it?

H&M beanie - I've got a DIY planned for this one.

H&M Blue Panel & Faux Leather Bag - A uni bag for when I'm feeling a bit dressier than my go-to AA Cities bag.

H&M Waxed Denim Biker Jacket - Since summer is coming and I've never had a proper black biker jacket, I thought a thin denim one would be more appropriate than a leather, or even pleather one.

Zara Bomber Jacket - Light enough to carry around if you're out all day; I'm too excited for this one.

Also I went to Diva's Sample Sale in Brookvale on Saturday with the lovely Tiff and it was honestly the best sale I've ever been to. Stunning never-seen-before pieces going for $1 / $2, I got 25 pieces for $29 and I honestly wish I got more. 

Stocking up on neon, triangles, spikes, rose gold, perspex, skulls!!

Spring Wishlist

I'm writing this moments after I just finished my first ever 2000 word essay! My posting is erratic, I know but this semester has been a bit tougher than the last one. My mid semesters and several other assignments including another 3000 word essay are just around the corner but I wanted to share my week late Spring wishlist!!

I love this self-deprecating jacket; it matches my sense of humour. I'm not a huge fan of the Gryffindor-ish colours (I always thought I would've been sorted in Ravenclaw haha) so I think I might just use this as a DIY inspiration.

A found a strip of this scent in my October vogue and it's amazing!! It's a sweet combination of vanilla, musk, jasmine, coconut, orange blossom, red berries, dragon fruit and honeysuckle.

I'm not too big on the packaging off the 50/100ml because I've never been a fan of red but sadly they're the only sizes I've seen in Sydney. The 30ml bottle is much more toned down and subtle but being a business student, I'm too busy thinking about which one is better, cost-wise. haha

This wishlist is rather sporty and I've also been eyeing the black Coltranes by Jeffrey Campbell which I think will be amaze Springtime + uni boot. After uni tomorrow, I think I might head to Myer and check out the Illamasqua counter. I haven't seen too much press about it, but they're recently reduced all their prices in Australia by about 35% so I'm keen to reward myself with something tomorrow.

And lastly, I just noticed that I hit 10,000 views which might not be a lot but it is amazing to me, especially since I've abandoned my blog on/off for a month now. So THANK YOU for putting up with me! And I think you're gonna have to bear with me for a little longer because my laptop isn't as fixed as it can be. :(

Glebe & Surry Hills Markets

 On Saturday my friend, Tiff and I re-visited Glebe Markets and then checked out the monthly Surry Hills Markets for the very first time! At Glebe I got this amazing secondhand black American Apparel cape for $35. I love the letterman jacket-style snap buttons down the front and the in-built pockets just before the slit openings. I know we're nearing the end of winter but I'm sure I'll still be able to wear it next year.

 At Glebe also, I spotted this silver double skull bangle on a table full of amazing pieces of jewelry. I got this $5 which was half of what I was expecting.
My only regret was not getting more from this stall!

 After Glebe, we walked (yes!) to the monthly Surry Hills Markets in Shannon Reserve. I loved the atmosphere; everyone was effortlessly cool, from the hip parents with their kids to the typical Eastern suburb teens. The stalls were mostly selling one-off second-hand / vintage clothes and homewares. 

And finally I snagged this wolf tee from a $10 stall selling an enormous amount of Miss Brown Vintage-style dresses & shirts. I'm quite pleased that I never forked out $40 for one at General Pants because they're really quite overpriced!

I definitely recommend Glebe & Surry Hills Markets as a great way to kick start a lazy weekend. (And if you're craving gozleme, get it at surry hills markets ;) )
The next Surry Hills Markets will be held Saturday 1st September.

Update + Urban Outfitters Haul

I know I haven't blogged for 5 days which is terrible of me since I'm on holidays and I have so much time on my hands. I actually have 3 DIYs which I've been planning to do but I've been lazy watching movies, crappy daytime tv; and knitting! I've also been scouring the net for home decors and jewelry storage which lead me to discover Urban Outfitter's Apartment section. I don't know why I never bothered searching there before because it's actually got the best things. There's free shipping to Australia (ends 2/7) which I had to take advantage of since shipping to Australia usually costs an arm and a leg.

Here's a round up of a few of the things I got:

Astrological Jewelry Stand

I was searching for some astrology inspired jewelry storage and this ring stand popped up. It's not big enough to hold all my rings so it's going to be display my favourites.

 I love the metal lace cut out on these candle holders but I think I'll use it as a make up brush holder

Spinning Ribbon Jewelry Stand

This earring stand is a bit girly for my liking but I couldn't resist as it can hold so many pairs!!! 

Anyway there's nothing stopping me from spray painting it black. ;)

Double Case Leather Watch

Some of you might recognise all the way from my Autumn Wishlist but I've finally decided to get it! I'm going to have to set the 2nd face to London time during the Olympics so I won't miss Tom Daley in action.

 This was a bit of a random purchase but it was $2.99! I love the neon and scuba material look, I regret not buying another one in the pink because now I have to decide whether this becomes my exercise crop or my layering top. 

Casio Black Classic Watch

This was actually my brother's purchase (how trendy of him) but I'm definitely going to steal this on days I feel a bit boyish.

I still need to go thrifting for more vintage storage pieces, make curtains, go to ikea for frames and possibly get an add-on shelf for my desk! So to whoever asked me on tumblr ages ago to do a room tour, I haven't forgotten about you!! I will try to get that done and up when this all arrives and I've done redecorating. :)

Motel & Something Else from Fashion Weekend

After a competition, a win and an awesome friend; I got a free ticket to Fashion Weekend which is basically a weekend of major designer discounts including; ksubi, bec & bridge, miss brown vintage, shakuhachi, camilla & marc, ginger & smart, talulah, the cassette society etc

I blew most of my money on Motel Rocks & Something Else and I was pretty happy with what I got. But that was until my friend Tiff and I found the Miss Brown Vintage stall right at the back of the massive hall and basically broke down because we had no money left. Miss Brown had vintage animal tees, denim shirts, fur coats, bags, jackets... I wish we went there first!!!

Quick Trip to Glebe Markets

I finally got around to going to Glebe Markets because it was very close to my exam centre today. It had a pretty chill vibe with heaps of hip looking 20 year olds sitting in circles, smoking mysterious substances.

The gold chain necklace is too nice!!

The delicious hand-made candles by Tanya at Squink! There was cinnamon vanilla, strawberry shortcake, coconut & lime... They are all unique with some in plain tumblers, some in crystal and some in these beautiful teacups. She told me that the melted soy wax can be used as massage oil or hand moisturiser; I can still smell the perfume on my hand!!

An amazing metal coin-purse kinda-like pouch, shame the clasp sprung back open everytime I tried to close it. 

I buy too many useless gems; I have polished amethyst, quartz and a blue thunderegg sitting on my desk. But that didn't stop me from buying another two of the turquoise/purple gems.

I bought 2 tiny candles from Squink; creme brulee for $4 & lychee bomb for $5. I really wanted to buy a teacup one but they were too heavy for me to carry home. ):
